2026-2027
This autumn, Clarkson Class will be exploring an exciting range of topics across the curriculum. In English, we will develop our writing through suspense and losing tales, as well as report writing and persuasive letters. In Maths, we will build our understanding of place value, the four operations, fractions and decimals, measures and geometry. Our History learning will take us back to Ancient Greece, exploring everything from Athens and Sparta to Greek mythology, the Olympic Games and the lasting legacy of this fascinating civilisation. In Geography, we will develop our spatial sense before travelling (virtually!) to Mediterranean Europe, learning about its climate, landscapes, farming and settlements. In Science, we will investigate the human body, including teeth, digestion and nutrition, before learning how scientists classify plants and animals. Alongside this, the children will enjoy exploring light and space in Art, making cushions in DT, programming with Scratch, developing their Latin, making music and taking part in Forest School, tag rugby, hockey and gymnastics. It promises to be a busy and exciting term full of opportunities to learn, create and explore!

- Sounds of the English Phonic Code - A video which clearly models and demonstrates the pure sounds of the English language. A great resource to support parents in modelling the correct articulation of each sound.
