Safeguarding children and young people is everyone's responsibility.
At Wisbech St Mary Church of England Academy we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
- We are fully committed to ensuring that consistent and effective safeguarding procedures are in place to support children, families and staff.
- We ensure that all staff receive appropriate training, guidance and support to undertake effective safeguarding of children.
Under Section 175 of the Education Act 2002 (as amended), the Education (Independent School Standards) Regulations 2014, the Non-Maintained Special Schools (England) Regulations 2015, and the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 (as amended), schools are required to have arrangements in place to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
We endeavour to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children are respected and valued.
